Katie teaches a “slower is stronger” method that emphasizes the breath as a vehicle for moving the body. She places a strong emphasis on body awareness, creating length in the spine, and manipulating the breath in order to create intentional shifts in nervous-system response. It’s a therapeutic method suitable for all bodies regardless of shape, size, fitness-level, and experience. The classes are approached as a workshop with an open dialogue about what works, what doesn’t, and why.
Students should bring their own mat, and wear comfortable clothes they can move/stretch in–all other props are provided.
